Though we have not been constantly connected in the touchy-feely sort of way, my friend Christina and I recently reaffirmed the fact that we get schoolgirlish when it comes to the same sort of eye candy.
My friend Christina and I have always been horror movie fans. And it so happened that the Warner Brothers Channel over in the US has served up this frighteningly yummy dish.

Supernatural itself is guilty fun. I mean, people over 30 like me don’t watch it for the storylines alone. Actually, Chris and I watch it because of Jensen Ackles. That’s him in the poster’s foreground. He plays Dean Winchester in the series.
Jared Padalecki plays his brother, Sam Winchester. They hunt down demons, spirits, and otherwordly things. Think of them as hunky ghostbusters.
Jared Padalecki gives off the aura of the boy you wanna take home to Mama. I don’t know how he is in real life, of course. I am making this uneducated guess based on his looks alone.
Employing the same principle, Chris and I agreed that Jensen Ackles looks like the kind of boy that would cause parents to buy their daughters chastity belts.
Here’s another shot of him:
My goodness. Is it me or is my second childhood setting in 30 years early?
Well, at least, I am not alone. Chris, who is married and expecting a kid late this year, is all set and raring to host a Supernatural marathon in her home this month. She told me her hubby, Leo, will be out on the last weekend of the month. Chris said, “Ah, Leo knows about this and he doesn’t mind!” At this I said, “Gosh, Chris. Your marriage is probably the best argument for marriage that I know of!”
Alas, it seems that it’s just the two of us in our age group living in Metro Manila who are not ashamed of admitting to a yen for Jensen Ackles. But, hey, that’s not a bad thing. God knows we already share Jensen Ackles with hordes of screaming girls half our age. I figure there’s just about enough room for two old gals like us.

Me! And I’m 40, to boot.
I’m a Jensen fan–purely for his looks–though not of his TV series.
